It's OK. Nothing special. They are a customer of my dad and my DH delivers to them.
I've been during the day, but heard it gets pretty crowded at night.
I love the crab from Waterfront Crabhouse, right across the street.
ETS: The first two sentences are two seperate thoughts. I have been there as a customer myself, but heard about because they are a customer of my dad's.

I used to live a block away.
It's different.
It's in the middle of nowhere.
Be prepared for the port-a-potties, hipsters, charge for parking, spotty service and picnic tables.
The view is spectacular.

Its an outdoor bar with an unbelievable view...its cool if you're going with a cool crowd.
Waterfront Crabhouse -
food: great
decor and atmosphere: terrible...crowded, dirty (I saw about an inch of dust on the stuff that hang above your head)...wouldn't eat there again.

The view is great. You may want to bring some beach chairs or a big blanket to sit on just in case there are no tables available. It's a fun laid back atmosphere usually. The food? Think hot dogs and burgers...

The first summer, it was locals, some reporter from the NYT that kept writing about it and a few folks who biked over from greenpoint.
Last summer, hipsters.
This summer, it could be post-hipster and too mainstream for the true hipster, so you may be in the clear.

We live a block away - during the day it's great - lots of families - volleyball games, great view.
It gets VERY crowded at night now.
If you want to skip the crabhouse - get dinner at tennisport (john McEnro's club) - it's next door to the beach and has the same gorgeous view. They have a cafe that serves sandwiches/etc. that's open to the public.
