Sorry, can't help you, I'm in Eastern Suffolk on the North Shore...but, I just had DH get cupcakes at the bakery on his way home.

if you want good cupcakes and are ever in the city, go to Magnolia Bakery on Bleecker. I have never had cupcakes that good!

Yummers!!! I second this. Also, City Bakery on 18th of 5th is delish. Oh, and they have the best freakin' hot chocolate I've ever had.

I hate Magnolia's cupcakes.  I wish I liked them, b/c they are so darn popular, but almost everyone I know hates them too.
It's super easy to make cupcakes at home. and you can also control the sugar in the icing (homemade is also VERY easy, especially the cream cheese kind)

It's south eastern Nassau, but there's a new bakery in Wantagh that makes really good cupcakes. Slap Happy, in the same shopping center as Hemingways Restaurant. YUM!
