PPT Gurus
Does anyone know how to fix this--
I have a couple of different ppt templates, all of various sizes, i.e. 8 1/2 x 11, 11 x 17, etc. When I cut and paste an image from one size to the next, ppt automatically either stretches the image, or compresses it-- so it looks distorted in the different size.
Is there any way to turn this automatic adjustment off-- it's killing me!!!

They have something about Hyperlinking two presentatons so you don't have to change it individually (it should be the same for different sized presentations as portrait/landscape):
Show a portrait-oriented slide in a landscape-oriented presentation
By default, Microsoft PowerPoint slide layouts are set up in landscape slide orientation. PowerPoint supports either landscape orientation or portrait orientation in a single presentation, but does not support both orientations in the same presentation.
If you want to show portrait-oriented slides during a landscape-oriented presentation, you can link two presentations, giving the effect of one presentation that contains slides of both orientations.
It is best to place both files in the same folder before creating links. That way, if the folder is copied to a CD or moved, the files will still link correctly.
Link two presentations
To link two presentations, one having landscape-oriented slides and the other having portrait-oriented slides, do the following:
Create a link from the first presentation to the second presentation:
In the first presentation, select the text or object that you want to click to link to the second presentation.
On the Slide Show menu, click Action Settings.
Click Hyperlink to, click the arrow to open the list, and then click Other PowerPoint Presentation.
Browse to and select the second presentation, and then click OK.
In the Slide title list, select the slide title that you want to link to in the second presentation, and then click OK.
Create a link from the second presentation back to the first presentation :
In the second presentation, select the text or object that you want to click to return to the first presentation.
On the Slide Show menu, click Action Settings.
Click Hyperlink to, click the arrow to open the list, and then click Other PowerPoint Presentation.
Browse to and select the first presentation, and then click OK.
In the Slide title list, select the slide title that you want to link to in the first presentation, and then click OK.
Note When you present this slide show, you must have both presentation files in the same folder on the computer that you use to give the presentation.
Tips
If you include large portrait-oriented images on landscape-oriented slides, you may want to reduce the image size.
If you want handouts for your presentation, you can print handout pages from both of the linked presentations, and then manually arrange the pages in the right order.
