Please Help-CONCERNED ??
Hi Everyone,
Ok so I started using new toothpaste a few weeks ago and to boot my mouth is super sensitive, when I chew cinnamon gum my mouth hurts and almost burns
well on sunday night my mouth started to hurt, specifically the underside of my tongue and bottom gums, they are a little red but dont seem more swollen than usual, specifically the mddle part of my bottom lip near the gum hurts when I move my bottom jaw and monday am I woke up with a my lip a little puffy I think it could be the toothpaste, it has particles in it that are hot and I think are burning my mouth
well now I am freaking myself out, googling everything under the sun and what it could be!! I have a dentist appt tommorrow night so I will ask him about it but has this ever happend to anyone
do you think gargling with salt H20 would help?

Your mouth is probably too sensitive to the particles.
Try a different toothpaste (that isnt cinnamon and doesnt have the particles) and see what happens.

Probably just irritation...my DH cannot take the really minty / spicy toothpaste and would gag...so we had to start using Aquafresh, just basic toothpaste....inside of your mouth is a very sensitive area!

Try Sensodyne..it really helped me.
I think I avoided a route canal with it..

i think drinking water will help you - but the simplest fix is stop brushing with that toothpaste.
also try taking an over the counter - like bayer or aleeve - that has an anti-inflamatory.

Thanks so much everyone, I am going to get new toothpast and a toothbrush tonight and try that, something very plain
Also I have been addicted to gum balls full of sugar, I dont think that helps!!
I just get so paranoid and start googling everything including oral cancer
well I think the good thing is that I have an appt tomm and will have the dentist check it out

look for peelu toothpaste and if you need to chew on some peelu gum.
It's all natural. Actualy it's what was used before commercial toothpaste was invented.
