Am I the only one tired of...
people who live in NY talking about how wonderful living in the south (NC,VA,etc.) would be?
I get so tired of hearing it...
I have friends who say it and I see it on the boards alot.
If you wanna go - go and enjoy.
But if you are still living here, then there must be a reason.
Sorry - just a mini-vent.

I have to agree. People started that with florida. They all went down there and now the prices are higher because there is more people down there. I personally feel North Carolina is going to be the same way.
If I want to get out of NY, why would I want to be near the same people I tried to get away from??!!

nope- b/c I hope to long gone in the next 18 months
I wish I could go tomorrow- but it's not that simple
I'm sure people who live in the south there whole life talk about moving up here
I have found these boards to be very helpful with info from real people living in the areas l like- which is much better then getting info from a builder or real estate agent
I always thought I would live in NY my whole life, but things changes- my whole family left and I want to be closer to them

nope, as a new resident of NC, thank God people chatted about NC...I learned so much from them. It was great to know that somewhere in the US, I could become a SAHM.

I'm not talking about those of you who are down there already. I understand that and I have friends who have moved down there.
It's people who live here and constantly tell me how much better it would be there - cheaper, better standard of living, etc.
I like it here...if they want to go, go...I just get tired of hearing how great they think it's going to be.
