Remedies for Queasiness
I haven't had m/s (yet!), but I have been starting to feel pretty queasy over the past couple of days. What are some good rememdies?
I am buying Saltines and Ginger ale - is there anything else that helps?

Re: Remedies for Queasiness
I hardly ever puked with both pg's, just the queasies, but what helped me the most was to eat lots of small meals/snacks and never keep my tummy empty.
I snacked on dry cereal fruit oatmeal cheese crackers-anthing but saltines to name a few..
I drank/sipped gatorade with my 1st pg Coca cola with my 2nd pg
Saltines made me gag like crazy with both pg's.

Re: Remedies for Queasiness
I didn't really have morning sickness myself, but I was haunted by queasiness from end of week 5 until about end of week 12...for me, bagels worked the miracle...they always made me feel so much better, and of course ginger ale (lots of gas) and water...fruit (mainly oranges) also made me feel better.

Re: Remedies for Queasiness
Lots of small meals. Try to eat something high in protein before going to bed. Like crackers with some peanut butter on them. Dont let your stomach get empty. Ginger ale & saltines worked for me most of the time.

Re: Remedies for Queasiness
I'm sorry you are feeling this way! Mine has lessened, but I'm still very queasy some days.
Ginger ale helped a lot, as did most basic bread products. I didn't go for Saltines either, but Triscuits or Wheat Thins were good. Most people with MS seem to be able to tolerate fruit.
I think another trick is to not force yourself to eat anything that is repulsive to you, unless it is very beneficial. I ate very little meat other than fish in my 1st trimester, and very few veggies other than raw carrots and salad. Anything else made me feel ill. Same for greasy or spicy food.

Yup that's what helped me. anything lemony...
lemonade, sprite, lemon candy, sour sucking candy.
If it gets really bad try licking a little salt

Re: Remedies for Queasiness
I kept Triscuits and Honey Nut Cheerios with me at all times...if i started to feel a little queasy - I'd have a little of one of those...and make sure I ate soon after
I also kept saltines by my bed, and I would have a few before I even lifted my head off the pillow in the morning. That seemed to calm the morning queasiness.
