Has anyone seen Pirates 3 yet? (potential spoilers)
What did you think?
I saw it this weekend. I thought the ending was really unexpected. I expected everyone but the person who stabbed the heart to stab it.
FH was upset and felt the ending was very sad. I thought the piece after the credits was hopeful.
The Keith Richards cameo was beyond disappointing..
And I think a LOT of stuff did NOT make sense

It was a confusing movie, but I loved it. Totally did not expect that ending and I too was sad, maybe even angry.
OMG I must have missed that piece after the credits, can you fm me and tell me what it was.
It was defeinatly a darker movie than the first 2.
I didnt expect Keith to have a big part, but the shrunken head was pretty damn funny

Well I put a spoiler alert so I will tell you here. We stayed past the credits because the first 2 movies had little things at the end so we knew this one would and I hoped it would be hopeful.
The end pieces said "10 years later" and it showed Elizabeth and a little boy (their son!) waiting on a cliff for the sun to go down. They see a flash of light and then the Dutchman comes on the horizon, with Will looking for Elizabeth on the shore. They all seemed very happy.
I just feel so sad for Elizabeth, she lost everything...

We went to see it yesterday. I was so disappointed that Orlando Bloom had to die the way he did right after they did vows during the fight. One minute married, one minute kissing, one minute dead, one minute alive and running a ship.
They left the movie open for another sequel.
But here's what DH and I didn't quite get - what does it mean by "8 pieces of 9

There was a piece after the credits?!!! I missed it, can you fill me in?
I thought it was sad (and I was disappointed about what they did to him), also, and I was surprised at who stabbed the heart. And yes I agree that it was pretty confusing and there were things that didn't make sense. Also, I feel like I missed some stuff b/c it was so long and it couldn't really hold my attention. Overall, I was a little disappointed in it.

a "piece of eight" a spanish coin worth eight...something..
They said they used nine of these coins (That's what bartlett was laying out on his map, and what the little boy was clutching in the beginning) but in reality they didn't have that much money so they used nine junk items to seal Calypso.
What I didn't get was why Will had to carve out his heart? I thought Davy Jones only did it because he was heartbroken?
Or was it because the captain of the dutchman must be destructible in case he becomes corrupt?
Why can't Elizabeth come on the ship?
Why can Will come visit Elizabeth standing ina bucket of water the way Davy Jones did when the captains confronted each other on the little island?

So did you miss the end pieces of the first two movies?
In the first two movies, it shows the money stealing a coin from the chest, which is why he's still cursed and undead.
In the second movie it showed that the dog had become the new king of the cannibals, which is why they were so puzzld when JAck's father had the dog..and he replied "Sea turtles"

I was also disappointed. I found it to be very dark (hanging children) and sad. Not nearly as entertaining as the first one (that happened to be on TV the night before).

It was definitely a lot darker, and it wasn't as funa s the first 2. I think the many Jacks were supposed to be entertaining, but they just got on my nerves.
And the hanging of the child was really just too sad.

The ending made me sad. Will would have died though, so I guess they figured it would be better to have him around every 10 years than not have him around at all.
I missed the scene during the credits too! I don't understand why they don't do a little "stay tuned after the movie for a special scene" or something like that. It's funny though, because when I was walking in the parking lot afterwards, I even said. Watch, the one time they get it on, she gets pregnant. Guess so!

we saw the movie this weekend and we thought it was good. i liked the ending and figured Elizabeth got pregnant!!!
overall it was way 2 long, but still just as good!
