my best friend was on Regis and Kelly (with her dance troupe, MOMIX) and he was so rude to her behind the scenes.

OMG you are totally right...his shiny suit doesn't help matters...they look like cardboard cut outs

When I was in 8th grade, I met Regis. That's when it was The Regis Philbin Show and was only in NY. I was sitting on the steps in the audience because there were no seats left. He asked if I was comfortable and I said no, I wanted to sit on the couch (on stage). Next thing you know, he was pulling me up there with him and putting a mic on my shirt!!
He ws very nice, and so funny!! I was on with him for a whole segment, spoke with Willard Scott too. My mom's phone started to ring OFF THE HOOK -- that's back when nobody watched ANYTHING else in the am, and there was no cable to speak of. My 15 minutes of fame!!
I had a great time and thought he was a real doll - he introduced me as one of his "step children"
