Re: So my MIL told.....

I'm sorry! I totally agree with you though. For whatever reason you need a c/s (or in some cases want) it's your body and your reasons. It should be your choice to tell who you want.

My MIL has not come to terms that I will also need a c/s- Dr.'s are saying 97% chance, due to several medical reasons. One, she's breech and my heart shaped uterus is probably not going to give her room to turn. We don't know for sure, but, that's what they say. Every time I see MIL, she says, I think you'll go for a vag. delivery. What's the big deal? I don't care how this baby gets here, as long as she's healthy!!!! Maybe it's a thing of their generation? The way I see it is-it's nobody's business but yours why or why not but I get asked this all the time and even after I tell them it's from a back injury/surgery, they still look confused and continue to ask why! It's frustrating, I understand where you are coming from.

I don't think it is anyones business that you need a csection - you should ask her to please not discuss it with anyone outside of immediate family.

This is the reason DH has not told a single person in his family that I have been having complications and that the baby might need surgery.

I also don't see the big deal about doing a c-section over natural. I think all of my friends have had c-sections, and it was by choice. And honestly, it doesn't sound like a bad idea.

But yes, thats a bit too personal of a topic for HER to discuss with people.
