DS has his 1st cold

My poor little guy would fall asleep, wake up coughing trying to get rid of the 'junk'. His nose is all stuffy and he's still managing to crack a smile.
He didn't even make it through the night. He was up at 3. I gave him a little bottle, suctioned his nose, some more bottle and off to sleep he went until 7.
No fever thank goodness. I just feel so bad.
Besides saline drops, suctioning his nose, and the humidifier is there anything else I can do?
I also rolled a blanket under his mattress so he slept kind of sitting up.
I just feel so bad my lil guy.

Paige has a cold, i think. Its her first one. It seems to be getting better, but I think what you are doing are the only things that help. She hates her nose being suctioned though. She screams. Nothing is coming out though the boogers are way to high up there.

I'm sorry Ds isn't feeling well. I recently recieved an email saying that if you put Vicks on the baby's feet and then cover them with socks it will help him breath better, and therefore sleep better. When Ds got his first cold I just put a humidifier in the room and it cleared up after a couple of days.

That is all you can do for her...keep doing what you aredoing,and try to keep her upright so she can breathe...hope she feels better

Thank You ladies. I will keep doing everything. Right now he's in his gym, smiling and cooing. So funny, its bothering me more than him.
I have a fighter, that's for sure.
I hope he stays in a good mood.
