glucose test
forgot to ask my doc - can I have water after I drink the glucose drink? thanks
ETA: I am going for my test in the evening, OB said to eat normally, jsut avoid sugary foods. do you think what I eat that day will effecit? what are some good lunch ideas?

My dr. said I could still have water, even after drinking the drink (I didn't though).
Stay away from juices and pasta

You are nto suppose to have water after the drink. I would eat normally that day but stay away from high carb/high sugar foods to be safe. Like my dr said the morning of the test don't go eating pancakes with lots of syrup.

They would not let me have water once I drank the sugar-mix drinky thing.
I had to fast before my test, but I would think avoiding high-sugar & processed carbs would be best for lunch.

I would call as different offices do it differently but in the two offices I took this test with - no water or food after the drink was standard.
