Jenna Jameson: My Secret Cancer Struggle

In November 2004, the world’s most famous adult film actress, Jenna Jameson, went to the dermatologist to treat some veins on her back, and was shocked when the doctor discovered a misshapen mole that turned out to be malignant melanoma.

Then, before Jameson could go into surgery, a blood test revealed that she was two months pregnant. But her joy soon turned to sadness. The day after she received the happy news, the porn star miscarried, probably due to the stress of the cancer.

The following month, Jameson had the mole excised and has been 100 percent cancer-free ever since. In an exclusive interview, the 33-year-old devout Catholic (and author of How to Make Love Like a Porn Star) tells Us Weekly that she’s made peace with her heartbreak.

“If the pregnancy would have lasted, I wouldn’t have had the surgery,” she says. “So it was all in God’s plan.”

so one day of stress can cause a miscarriage?!?

probably the stress the cancer had been putting on her body......not her actual stress.

And if all she had to do was have the mole excised, she would only need an pain injection.

I had it done on my wrist.

However i have an issue with her using the cancer thing. This might sound insensitive to some, but having a mole removed is not experiencing cancer. Unless you've had major surgery, had chemo/radiation... then talk to me about what cancer really is. Until then, do not use your mole being cut off as a way to get sympathy or say that you're cancer free when you haven't experienced it.

Sorry. sensitive issue for me. JMHO.

If she is a devout Catholic then I am a saint.

I don't know any devout Catholic's who have had sex with hundreds of men.

Yeah ITA...it is in poor taste, and disrespectful to people who battle cancer.

I understand that it is scary to hear that a mole is malignant, but it is not the sameChat Icon

I was thinking the same thing and that maybe that's why she got so thin in the past couple of months. But a mole being cut off a couple of years ago is not exactly battling cancer. Chat Icon

while I agree that she really didnt "battle" cancer, I do know someone in their early 30s that died bc his skin cancer spreadChat Icon

so while its great she is talking about it, she shouldnt be acting like shes been thru rounds of chemo.
