Strange question re: teething
I have a very late teether (10 mos) She's getting her first 2 at the same time. If you're child was in pain and needed motrin, how do you know when to stop the medicine? or rather when does their pain stop? as soon as the tooth begins to break through the gum? b/c I guess I foolishly thought she'd wake up one morning with a tooth and it's been over a week and it's still barely even visible. So I stopped the motrin but am wondering if I should've. I'm also curious since I'm on the subject. How long does it take the tooth to grow in fully?

Re: Strange question re: teething
every kid handles teething differently, for Sydney it took a while for each tooth to come through and I know for some it is overnight....it she seems uncomfortable give the motrin - we usually just use oral gel

Re: Strange question re: teething
I definitely think it depends on the baby. Ava's first tooth took forever to come in, but then her second just kind of popped through and was there one day. Now, we're back to a slow growing tooth on top that is taking forever to come in. For us, I know that I need to keep giving her tylenol because she rubs her face really hard when it hurts. What were the signs that told you to give it to her in the first place? I'd say if she's not cranky and her sleep isn't interrupted, she probably doesn't need it.
