It's my understanding that Tomlin went ballistic on the director first. He went off on her afterwards. (Apparently Clooney is friends with the director and that's why they think it was leaked by him.) There's also footage of her going off on Dustin Hoffman.

What i find funny is the poor set people, trying to clean up the set while he is having his freakout so it doesnt ruin the continutity of the shot...

I read the opposite, that Clooney hates this director & leaked it to show what an azz HE is. He supposedly almost clocked him during the making of 3 Kings.
