How long do you keep your credit card bills, bank statements, etc?
I have them for so many years, I just wanna toos them all!!!!

I keep 7 years of CC type papers, cancelled checks and such. I keep IRS papers, forever!!

I throw them away either the minute the payment goes through online or if I'm waiting for credit on something I returned, I'll hold the statement with the original purchase until the credits hits.
ETA: I think I have all my bank statements from when I opened the damn account in 1990!!

i usually hold documents for 2 years. then i shred them. dont just throw them in the garbage! you never know who's snooping in your garbage can when you're not looking! make sure you shred them!

I get a lot of them online but for the ones I still get in paper I keep until I get the new ones then I shred. I can always get soft copies of them if need be from the bank or credit card company. If there is a charge or credit or debit that I have a question about I will keep the statement until it's resolved.

i keep cc bills only for a few months, bank statements and cancelled checks i keep about 2 years. always shred!

I get rid of the credit card statements as soon as I see the bank clears our checks. As for the bank statements, waay too long!!

I keep bank statements one year, pay stubs one year... CC bills or cell phone bills get tossed right away, and Taxes I keep for 7 years. Everything I get rid of gets burned in my wood burning stove or DH's firepit out back.
