I only accept PayPal and he/she wants to know if I will accept a postal money order if he/she is the winner.

my 1st instinct is to say no.

IF you did that I would tell them you were going to cash it forst then mail the item to them.

I always take postal money orders- you can cash it at the post office- then send the item

I have heard of so many scams with money orders on craigslist that I am VERY leery of this! also, this bidder has some bad feedback from previous transactions. he didn't pay a few of them. Chat Icon his/her rating is only 94% positive

so postal money orders are legit?? there is no way to counterfeit them? It would be nice to not have to pay PayPal fees! especially since this particular item is currently at $200

yes- people can fake other ones- but not these- I would take it- cash it at the post office- and as long as they cash it - you are home free!

hmm....negative feedback in the past 3 months would make me say no. paypal is more secure at least. but that's totally up to you

I would worry about the neg feedback , but just cash it first, then ship the item.

If the buyer had good feedback, I would accept the money order and ship the item after it cleared but in this case I would pass.

A postal money order is as good as cash. I sell things on ebay all of the time and I have never had a problem with them before! Good luck with ebay! I love it!

thats not true - postal money orders can be counterfitted. I wouldnt do it if the guy has bad feedback.

or at least tell him that you must cash it first (and do that AT a post office, dont deposit it into your own bank account)

FYI...

In some cases with neg feedback it isn't always as negative as you think...... In some cases it may retalitory feedback .... 94% really isn't bad!!!!!

Re: I just had a question from a bidder on 1 of my eBay auctions

I usually send my packages out through the Post Office so I cash the Postal Money order and then send the item out.

If your auction states Paypal only, take Paypal only!
