hard time finding shoes for dd

My daughter's feet are very wide and very thick (DH's side of the family). She can't wear a lot of shoe styles and now that I am looking for Easter shoes, I am on a search once again.

For example: In the spring I took her to Stride Rite and the woman tried on every shoe in the store in her size and only one fit her right. The lady couldn't believe it. I wound up buying the one style that fit (even though it wasn't my first choice).

Anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions?

Yes, my son's feet are super wide and really thick.... The Stride Rite XXW shoes are a bit snug. I tend to buy what he fits in, so I know how that goes. Otehr than that, once I get him sized, I will look online for shoes in his size or I will buy Osh Kosh shoes, which tend to be wide wnough for his feet. Those I can usually find in Kohl's.
