sold by a discount broker?
THere is house for sale that says being sold by broker....how is that different from a real estate agency? Is that a bad thing?
Also if a house is listed 399-415 is 399 their bottom line or you still can put a bid in for under 399 right without being laughed at or not taken seriously. WHen I say bid under I mean 365-370 bid?
Thanks I feel so clueless!
Ok I just reread the ad....it says discount broker and I was looking up this and it says you pay them to find you a house????
I am sooooooo confused!
CAN ANYONE UNCONFUSE ME?

Sounds a little sketchy to me!
ETA: You're better off looking at For Sale by Owner.

Yea But it was an open house today and I wanna go
I tried reading up on the internet about them but it is only from the seller perspective not the buyer

I'm sure you could get more information by going to the open house today. It's worth a shot. Just be careful before you sign anything or hand over any money.

Re: sold by a discount broker?
does the add say "discount broker" or does it say " buyer broker"? i've never seen an ad that says "discount broker" because in all honesty, alot of people see the word "discount" and they negatively so i dont know why someone would put that in an ad?
can you type out word for word what the ad says so we can decipher better?

unless it says "buyer broker" i wouldnt worry about having to pay him a fee. just ask him when you get there. good luck!
