What do you feed your kids around 1 year old?
Also- for those who serve pasta, do you put anything on it?
Thanks.

Re: What do you feed your kids around 1 year old?
Lauren is only 10 months old, but she is inching more and more to table food and away from baby food.
She eats almost anything we eat that I can cut up small enough for her to pick up and eat herself. Like she had a grilled cheese for lunch today, I just cubed it in small pieces.
She loves Ditalini pasta, and I just give it to her plain... No sauce yet!
She loves cut up green beans, bananas, soft carrots, rotisserie chicken, mashed potatoes, etc.

I give her anything...she won't eat baby food except for the gerber raviolis. She just had spaghetti with meatballs and tomato sauce and loved it! I made shrimp scampi the other night and gave her the pasta with sauce, no shrimp, and loved it. She eats lots of grilled chicken, veggies, fruit cups, cheese, veggie burgers, whatever she can get her hands on!

Re: What do you feed your kids around 1 year old?
I give him cheerios, gerber graduates peaches, pears and apples in grape juice and I just cut them in half. They are a little messy but he likes them. Pasta, I started with pastina and as you saw from my other post we have moved onto orzo. I did give diatili once but I will graduate to that. I make a mac and cheese for him and devours it. I add some milk, butter and american cheese, not alot of each. I tried to give him sause and he did not like it. He isn't a fan of meat so I still give him jarred meats. He will eat any kind of starchy food like breads and cakes if you give it to him. Today for dinner I am going to make him pasta and brocolli with olive oil and see how he likes thats. I keep trying different things since he is so picky. If he ate dinner with us he would probably be on table food completely but he eats around 4:30 (dinner) and I dont cook dinner until 7:30

We havent really found anything that she wont eat - in fact the other night we were eating out and my salad had some beets with it and she was asking for food and I gave her some beets and she loved them.

Re: What do you feed your kids around 1 year old?
My kids ate pretty much everything at that age...as long as they could chew it that is...as far as pasta was concerned..their father is 100% Italian and I think the girls were eating sauce since they were 6 months old...I made my own babyfood which meant that everything we ate..they ate..Noone has food allergies of any kind and although some are pickier than others all are pretty good eaters.
