does anyone else
get the worse charley horses now that you are pregnant? I woke DH up almost in tears last night.

they are really common--its pottasium related..eat bananas/ I have to say---this is the only pregnancy I did not get them. In my last two--I would wake screaming!

only once. Now I drink a bottle of water & eat a banana before bed everynight. Of course I have to get up to pee, but it is worth it to me...I hate the feeling of a charlie horse

i havent yet, i did with dd but now i know to eat more banana's, ill do that to keep them away. how many weeks were you when they kicked in?

It isn't just from potassium...sometimes it is due to a shortage or overage in calcium also. If you are drinking excessive amounts of milk or your diet has too little or too much calcium that causes pregnant women to get charley horses. I was getting them alot and then cut back on my cheese and they stopped.
