Re: is it too much to ask.....
I can totally relate. I had one halfway decent night's sleep in the past 4 months. I don't know how people function without sleep....

Sorry... its true that pregnancy prepares you for having a newborn though. Get used to the lack of sleep.

Re: is it too much to ask.....
I have given up on being comforable! DH bought me this wedge pillow, but it seems to be only good for watching tv, not for getting a good night sleep. I rely on my tempurpedic pillow and my body pillow, but still wind up uncomfortable!

Re: is it too much to ask.....
this might sound like ill advice, but i actually read in a magazine that it's actually safer than normally made out to be: try your back! according to the dr. in the article, if you manage to cut off the circulation to your legs and thus they "go to sleep," your body will wake you up before any harm is caused. i was relieved to read this as i've given up on side sleeping AND remembered sleeping solely on my back with my first.
granted the dr. in the article didn't outright say to go to sleep ON your back, but did say not to worry or get worked up if you find yourself there. for me, side sleeping and pillows just do not work and honestly, i'm not that big.

Re: is it too much to ask.....
I have heard that you can lie on your back at a 45 degree angle. If you prop enough pillows up - you could try that.
As for me, I have found that I need 3 pillows wherever I am. one for my head, one to support my belly and one between my knees. I also turn so I'm half on my side and half on my tummy (as much as I can be)
