Need advice with living room

We just got a new couch today. The drapes I had on the window are the same color as the new couch, so I want to change them. The walls are a fern green. Here is the couch. What color drapes??

What color are your moldings? What about the other furniture in the room?

why don't you go with the drapes i the picture. i actually have seen them in potterybarn before and really liked them. they have some green, red and beige in the paisley. you could bring in some red pillows if you wanted.

the moldings are white we have roman shades on the bay window.

Yes the ones in the picture could be an option... maybe well go to the store and get a sample. Id like to see them in person.

is there an area rug in the room, throw pillows on the couch? i would pull colors from these as well as the couch and walls and find panels w/ the same colors. something w/ a pattern would look nice.

eta: here is an OLD pic of my den. there are is more furniture now, bamboo blinds and panels. the panels (plaid) mimic the other colors in the room (bugandy, tan, light beige, green). i will try and take a pic later.

wow our walls are almost the same color and the couch! DO you have drapes up? We didnt get throw pillows yet and we do have an area rug.

this fabric is VERY similar to what i have. looks different on a larger scale though. colors are the same. see how the colors blend w/ the room?

I don't know if this would work then for you but I am very much into white or espresso curtains. I have white in my living room and I love the way it looks.

IM so sick of buying drapes, putting them up then returning them.. I want to get it right this time.

I don't have a picture of my room, I will try to get DH to take one and upload for me. Here's an inspiration for you to see what the white would look like. These curtains are pretty lightweight, I have dupioni silk.
