 Re: Stewart Manor
My DH and I luv Stewart Manor! There are hardly ever houses for sale over there. The School district isn't so great from what I heard.

 Re: Stewart Manor
Very nice neighborhood, but I know at least part of it is part of the Elmont school district. I wouldn't buy there unless I could afford private school.

 Re: Stewart Manor
From what I understand, it's a very close knit community. I have family that live there and love it.

same here. Sewanhaka schools are in some parts of SM and i'm not a big fan.

 Re: Stewart Manor
I've always liked the area bc it's a cute small town but the SD isn't the greatest plus it borders Elmont.

 Re: Stewart Manor
I agree with everyone... The area is absolutely beautiful, but parts are Elmont SD...

 Re: Stewart Manor
DH and I loved Stewart Manor initially, but we did find that many of the homes were in the Elmost SD, which isn't good at all. If you don't plan to have kids, or planned to send them to private school anyway, I would live there, but we wanted a better public SD.

 Re: Stewart Manor
I think ALL of SM is in Elmont School District. You go to SM elementary school and Sewanhaka High school. My mom's house is the first / last in Elmont, bordering Floral Park and I survived Covert Elementary and Sewanhaka, and so did my brother and sister, but whatever.
In all honesty it's not the best of school districts, and for picky people, no don't move there. But if I could afford it I would....and yes I have a child, an 8 year old daughter.
