A glass of wine??
My wedding anniversary is on Monday. I wanted to have a glass of wine while we are away (we will be in AC) Do you think that will be ok??

Re: A glass of wine??
it is def. up to you... I had a few sips of wine here and there but I always feel so guilty afterwards so I stay away from wine altogether... I am sure a glass of wine is fine though

I did in my 3rd trimester for my first. But sipped it VERY slowly.

Re: A glass of wine??
My Dr says : Absolutely no alcohol the first trimester, second and third- half a glass for special night out is fine!
I think it all depends on how far along you are and what makes you comfortable.
I don't see a big crime in half a glass of red, especially if you are late in your pregnancy! ENjoy your anniversary!

I think you should do what you are comfortable with. Why not give your doc a quick call - if it will make you feel better? I don't think 1 glass of wine is harmful. My mother was born and raised in Italy, she never got drunk but she always had a little wine with dinner, even when she was pregnant and a cup of espresso in the morning. She had 3 healthy children as did my aunts and grandmothers had 7 each...
Happy anniversary!

Re: A glass of wine??
Anything you do is completely up to you. As long as your dr ok's it & you both feel comfortable.
Personally, I wouldn't chance it. But I won't even take baby tylenol when my head hurts so I might just be overly cautious.
Of course millions of mothers drank while pg & had millions of healthy babies but the studies are inconclusive as to how much alcohol is actually detrimental to the fetus. There really are no safe guidelines.
Eta: My mother smoked all through out her pg with me & my twin brother. Yes, we came out healthy but I would never smoke while pg. Just a thought, not trying to be judgemental at all.
