BTDT mommies
For those of you who have a bottle warmer, which is the best brand? I didn't get one with DD, but I want one this time, and have no clue which one is best. Please help me!

Oh, I'd like to hear the answer to this too! So you didn't have one with your DD, but want one now? So I guess that means they are worth-while and I should register for one?

I had one with my first, but honestly it was more pain than it was worth. When he was hungry, he was hungry NOW and didn't want to wait for a bottle to warm up, so I just used room temperature water to make his bottles.

I had the First Years Bottle Warmer and I loved it. I used it only in the nursery at night b/c I just used hot water during the daytime feedings. It has an insulated part to keep bottles cold for middle of night feedings... It was a lifesaver early on, but now I find that I never use it b/c there are no more feedings overnight.

Well I want one because I plan on breastfeeding again, but times when I can't be home or want to go out, I pump and freeze the milk. It would be way more convenient for DH to have a bottle warmer than to try and figure out how to heat the bottle to the right temp without one.

I have the advent one. It's such a waste IMO for that. It takes at least 4 mins to heat a bottle up and that's one that's not frozen. It's a pain.
I used to pump on occasion and have to defrost frozen milk or warm up cold milk, nothin works better than putting it in good ole hot water in a pot (i would boil water take it off the stove then stick the bottle in it) to warm it up or running it under hot water from the sink. This was DH's job, It would only take a couple minutes to do def less than the bottle warmer and def less than after you waste time figuring out how long it should stay in bottle warmer for.
Or if i knew i was going to be out i would pump, leave it in the fridge and all he had to do was warm it.

THe first years one heats w/in a minute and the light turns off when it is done.

The advent one,not sure if they changed it or not, but you set it based on how much formula/milk is in there, then you have to put the right amount of water based on that amount/time in the bottom, that's how it heats it, with steam heat. Then you have to figure out how long to leave it in there for frozen comparitively to cold, measure the water, set the time for right amount.
For me too much work! Especially if you only use it once in awhile like i did!
I'll sell you mine if you want it!! I used it maybe twice!
