Do you remember the good or the bad?

DH and I were talking about one of our first valentines days- and how wonderful and romantic it was.

We totally forgot how the restaurant was so overbooked, that first they sat us at the bar, then in a private party before sitting in the main room (where there was a piano and dance floor). We were STARVING by the time we got to eat and our meal was totally comped Chat Icon

So I go to thinking, I am one of those people who always remembers the good, but forgets the bad.

What are you guys like?

We tend to remember it all, but the bad eventually ends up being pretty funny and makes the whole experience that much more memorable.

Re: Do you remember the good or the bad?

I think I tend to remember both..depends on the situation and who is involved. My first date with DH was on Valentine's Day and we went to this tiny restuarant in the village and it was dark (each table had one tea light), loud and the tables were so small and on top of one another. But when I think of this place, all that sticks out is how nervous DH was that he barely ate, and how cute I thought it was that he was so nervous. We had the best night. Every year for our "dating" anniversary, we go back there!Chat Icon

We remember the good and the bad because they both made us what we are today.

Both. But the bad makes for some good stories if you can laugh about it today! Chat Icon
