For those that did not breast feed, what kind of formula do you recommend?
My goal is to try and breast feed, but most of the people I speak to did not seem to have much luck. I haven't really looked into formula and which is best. What kind of formula do you recommend?

I didn't think BF was going to be for me, but 4 months later, still doing it and love it. It's convenient and cheap! Don't give up too quickly, it takes time to get it down. But as for formula, my ped reco's Enfamil Lipil.

We tried everything and it always came back to Enfamil Lipil. Its my first choice.
Good luck. I tried and did not have success, but I know MANY women that did.

Use Enfamil Lipil...that is what they used in my hospital and Matthew has no problems with it

Sarah was on Similac Advance with Iron until she was 1.
Andy started out on Similac Advance with Iron, was diagnosed with a milk protein allergy so we tried Similac Alimentum which helped but didn't get rid of it completely so now he's on Neocate which is prescription formula.

I pumped exclusively for three months and then moved to Nestle Good Start DHA/ARA

I BF for 3 months that was enough for me...I put her on the Similac Organic and it is great she is not gassy at all

Try not to give up too easily. I have NOT had an easy time of it with breastfeeding due to low milk production but I am hanging in there. We supplement with formula in addition to the breast milk.

WE've been lucky with 3 great, easy babies. We always used mostly Enfamil Lipil, and used the others if I had lots of cans. never had a problem.

I breastfeed for about 2 months and started to supplement with Similac Advance with Iron. RTF formula.
