Stun Gun Child Abused
ALBANY, Ore. - An Albany father used a 100,000-volt stun gun on his 18-month-old son, police said Monday. Rian Whittman, 23, has been accused of assault and criminal mistreatment. Police said he used it "multiple times" over three weeks. A police spokesman said there were up to 10 instances.
Police said Whittman's wife, 21, who was not named, reported the abuse on Saturday.
The child was treated at a hospital, police said, and then taken into protective custody by the state Department of Human Services.
Capt. Eric Carter said the police haven't established a motive for the abuse, nor why it began about three weeks ago.
He said the device was not a Taser weapon, named for the manufacturer, but an older model that's applied directly to someone's skin.
OMG, what is going on in this world? I think that the dad should be stun gunned every 3 minutes for the rest of his life!

why didn't she stop him? this is her baby for God sakes. i think she's just as guilty as he is. just my opinion, only. i would have stunned him and then called the police!

You never know in a situation like that. Maybe the mother is abused also, but when he did it to the baby she was driven to call the authorities.
The man obviously has serious problems and should be tortured.

oh i know, and you guys are right, you just never know, but it says that it was used numerous times in the course of 3 weeks..........why didn't she call after the first time? it just makes me sick is all. she's a victim as well, i know that, but it just makes me so angry that people do that to innocent lives who weren't asked to be brought into the world.

I agree. I hate when people take any form of abuse on a defenseless or helpless person/animal. So wrong.
