TV mounted above the fireplace
I am currently considering mounting a TV above my fireplace and would love to hear from anyone who has done this.
What primarily concerns me is the whether the heat from the fireplace is detrimental to the TV.
If you have done this just a few questions? Do you still use your fireplace? Who did you use for the installation and were you happy?

We just had our TV mounted above our fireplace about a month ago. It was done by a friend of my DH's who does a lot of them.
It looks nice, and we still use the fireplace. So far no problems.

i installed my flat screen above fireplace and we also installed surround sound in the walls by fireplace...and we use teh fireplace al the time.. my DH use to manage a pc richards so its ok to mount them..
my dh best friend did it for us..he is awesome..
