not a parenting question but I feel comfortable here asking so....
SIL has has a pain in her left breast for over a week (she IS NOT pregnant) she already has 4 boys
she had her AF already so its not that
she says its very very sore and painful .......I googled sore breast but a whole bunch of stuff came up
has this happened to anyone before??
she has a Dr appt but I am so concerned

I would get it checked out certainly but a lump doesn't always mean what you're thinking it means. At one point there was milk regardless of whether she nursed. Also she could have fibercystic breasts or a calcification.

It might be a cyst that she cant feel. I agree that she should go to the dr. and see what they say.

I never nursed and recently found a little lump and was really concerned I went to a Dr and he said it was fine a little cyst and it may even be from never having nursed a clogged duct or something so it may just be something like that but I know it is scary as it just happened to me!

IMO she should go to the doctor. It could be nothing but, at the same time it could be something. Better safe than sorry and I hope she's OK!
