Music for kids
Sorry to intrude on your board, but I am a teacher, and I am looking for some songs/music to play for my first grade class. They currently LOVE Jack Johnson's Curious George soundtrack. They don't like the typical kids music, I was looking more "hip" music that I would also enjoy listening to that is appropriate for the school setting. Thanks!

Re: Music for kids
Just wrote out a list. Make sure you look up the lyrics. While my son loves singing Jeremiah was a bullfrog, helping him drink his wine is something that some parents may not want their kid to sing about. http://www.lifamilies.com/chat/topic.aspx?&P=1&ID=118156#P1580465

Re: Music for kids
Too funny because I was going to respond the Curious George soundtrack. I'm a music teacher for grades 1-8 and the kids LOVE that cd!
As for others, do you have a music teacher in your school? (some schools don't!) If you do, ask them if they subscribe to MusicK-8. Their cds are fabulous and my kids love them. Plus, they address all the holidays and events that happen all year. THere's even a song for "Talk like a Pirate Day" If the music teacher doesn't have the cds, you can just go to musick8.com and subscribe for the school year. HTH!
