Carpeting
Has anyone looked into this recently? We think we may wnat to do wall-to-wall carpeting in our bedroom. Any idea on price range? I know it will vary greatly depending on the actual carpet chosen but for an average (not cheapest, not most expensive) carpeting, what are we looking at?

I got carpeting installed from Lowes for $400 and it was a large room (sorry no dimensions) The carpeting was inbetween. Not cheap and not the best they had.

We got a stainmaster carpet that is beige kind of in between a berber and regular carpet (although it was in the berber section). We carpeted an 11x20 room and a staircase with upgraded padding. It came to about $1600. The stairs make it more expensive though. Had it just been the room it probably would have been about $1000.
ETA: at the store it was listed at about $3.25 a square foot.

I can't remember prices too much - but I think it's usually $20-30 per square yard - installed.
We had stainmaster put in 20x11 for $600
