where his plan was left in his hotel room or something like that?

I don't know too many of the details- but I don't think that it was an "accident". If he left a plan in a hotel room- it was done on purpose, for the publicity.

I read last night that an assistant had a piece of luggage that contained the information. It was lost and later returned but someone had gone through the suitcase and photocopied the document.
It doesn't seem out of the ordinary for a politicialn to have this type of info- don't you think they all do?
I personally don't think he would win anyway.

i feel bad for him. and the NY times is ruthless to publish all of the details of what was in those papers. They might as well call themselves freaking gossip columnists becuase they stoop to that level.
nonetheless i dont think me knowing what his campaign budget is will 'ruin' his campaign and i sure as hell hope he doesnt pull out because of that.

how do they know the document was photocopied?? 
and i remember seeing a movie where this happened in one of the scenes; he left his briefcase in the banquet room...??? - it was one of the 9/11 movies, and the character was Martin Sheen (i think) ??

the NY Times was once a highly regarded source of media, boy have times changed.
But to be fair, if any other newspaper got their hands on it, they would have probably published it too. I hope the NYT gets sued.
