I have an ultrasound at 16 weeks...Jan 11...they told me they should be able to tell me then!!!!

 i am so torn over this!!!!!! 
my husband is DYING to find out- i am not so sure! i want the surprise but i also want to be able to prepare a nursery and shop etc..... i don't know what we're going to do! i don't think i can wait when it all comes down to it

Our Level II is on January 15th and we are NOT finding out.
My own personal reason... I will NEVER have this surprise again in my life There's only one time for your 1st baby and I think it's going to be so amazing to find out for the first time if it's a boy or girl when s/he comes into this world

I have my level II scheduled for January 8th. I'm really looking forward to seeing the baby again and knowing that everything is still okay. We are finding out the sex and I'm so excited!!!! Hopefully the baby will cooperate.

i'm very torn on this issue. i was adament that i wasn't going to find out, but it has been hard to hold out. my doctors know for sure, because i had a cvs test done at 12 weeks for genetic reasons, but they also did chromosomal tests and the sex chromosomes were one of the tests, so they know for sure!
i don't think i'll make it 6 more months without finding out!!

This is exactly how I feel.  I will be making my appt on Tuesday so we will be finding out sometime in late January/early Feb. Can't wait!

We're not finding out. The element of surprise when your child is born is simply magical...I can't take that away from myself by knowing in advance [not that the birth is made less special], besides, how exciting will it be when DH can run out to the waiting room and tell everyone the news? Obviously he'll come out to say the baby is born, they're expecting that, but to be the one to share the news of boy or girl...when he experiences it, i know how amazing he'll feel. 
that's just me, i'm a little old fashioned.
