For all my Jewish friends...
do you have a christmas tradition?
Growing up we used to go to the movies every year. Now that we have a baby and the movies are not an option we decided to head to Main st. in flushing. We hit all the kosher markets and stocked up on some Israeli food, then we went into the city for some Korean food with friends. yum yum.

we don't have any traditions per se-- we definitely take this time to chill with our families-- as situations change-- so do the traditions.
I saw my family today-- and last night we did Chinese food and rented a movie.

It was always Chinese Food and a movie Christmas eve and on Christmas we woudl have a party for our Jewish friends.
This year we also have the baby so we went to Sushi Samba last night and today DH went to work adn I went to see my mom and my friend's new baby in LI. Chinese food for dinner though!

No real traditions but for a few years I make latkes..like tonight.

We go to the movies on Christmas Eve.
On Christmas Day, we spend the day at DH's parents' house, watching movies and eating junk food!
I swear, I must have gained at least 7 lbs today alone!

Jusst hanging out and eating chineses food.
We go to Florida during Cmas vacation so we just hope the weather is good. If it is not good - well Festival Flea market is open

We go to the tree, make fun of tourists then go to Wo-Hop. We did the tree thing but when we got to Chinatown tonight, the line at Wo-Hop was way too long so we went to Hop Kee instead. The place was filled with Jewish people and the people next to us were discussing their teenage daughter's trip to Israel and saying that she should stay away from the West Bank. She thought she'd be safe if she were with soldiers. I thought she was moron.

We always did Movies and Chinese food when I lived in NY, but in the UK Christmas Day is like the day of the dead! Everything is closed...no restaurants, no movies...no nothing! So now I make a Roast Dinner for my husband and we eat and watch television. What could be better!

We used to - on Christmas day we used to go to Atlantic City - it was hysterical, because we're so NOT gamblers, but for entertainment value alone - it's like the entire jewish world congregates at Atlantic City on Christmas day!  Now that we have Alex, we kept it low key - movie and chinese food

Used to do movies xmas eve - now that my sisters don't live in NY any more and visit during xmas time - we do our hanukah party or just hang out.

christmas eve we don't do anything really.
christmas day we go to the movies and usually hit a diner for dinner, last night was sushi instead since they were opened and right across the street from the movie theatre

When I was a kid, we'd go out for Chinese and go to a movie on Christmas Eve. That was also the only night we ever used our fireplace. We sit by the fire, play games, and listen to Christmas songs (my parents love Christmas music). Then, on Christmas day, everyone went to my Grandparents' house for dinner.
Now, we celebrate Christmas with DH's family. We go to his Grandmother's for Christmas Eve (my family is invited over) and his father's for Christmas day.
