Frustrated with US Post office
Weeks ago I sent a care package out with different gift cards to a friend who never received it. I was told by the Post Office that I was at fault for not insuring it. Fine, lesson learned. I go today to insure three Christmas cards that contain gift cards in each one. I'm told they cannot be insured because gift cards are like cash. You cant send them through the mail. WTH? So basically I have to take a chance with them and HOPE it gets to where it has to go.

I wouldn't tell them what's in it. Just insure it.
And yeah, they suck!!
I got the "care" my love...you have no idea!
ETA: I wouldn't just send it because, apparently, they get caught in the sorters a lot and once the envelope is open, buh-bye GC!

Re: Frustrated with US Post office
gift cards are a PIA! my aunt sent me one from Macy's and it was sent to me BY Macy's. the only thing that stinks about doing it that way is that you have to choose pre-given denominations. $25, $50, etc. you can't do lets say $40

Re: Frustrated with US Post office
You should also do confirmation that the person received it. It only costs .60 cents and you can track it online to see where it is.
