Washing a down duvet..
So my kitty had a bit of a dirty protest on my bed. She did a little widdle on our comforter...HEY, its happened to all of us pet owners! Anyway, the duvet cover got the brunt of the liquid, but the duvet did get a little bit.
The washing directions said to wash it in a commercial machine/dryer...do you think I could risk it and wash it at home??

Re: Washing a down duvet..
I would wash it on the delicate cycle...then put it in the dryer on AIR only...no heat to fluff it up

Re: Washing a down duvet..
If you can get it in there without stuffing it in I think it'd be fine to do at home. I think commercial washers are just bigger!

I washed mine at home and it came out flat. You definitely need to fluff or have it done professionally. I have heard a tennis ball does the trick.

Re: Washing a down duvet..
I was mine in the washing machine and when drying it I add two tennis balls in the dryer to fluff it up.

I washed mine at my moms house (we dont have a washer and go to the laundromat) and put tennis balls in the dryer and it came out fine.
