Question for All OOSer's
We have been tossing the idea of moving around for a while now. DH has found a couple of job openings in NC, and if he gets one we would move within 3-4 months. How did you convince yourself to just go for it? I'm terrified of moving and not liking it. We have 3 small kids and I'm just worried about ending up in the wrong neighborhood, or hating it and trying to move back.

We moved into an apartment complex first close to our jobs to decided where we wanted to live after a year of checking out towns and such. we made a great decision on the subdivision and home. Do your research and visit it a couple times prior to going.

Great advice!!
If we didn't have family in the area already, we would have rented before buying in order to choose the best 'hood for us.
How did I decide to go for it? I made list upon list upon list and it just made the most sense to leave.
We have a house and great jobs and everything fell in to place for us almost immediately.
Good luck!
Hardest decision ever!!

Re: Question for All OOSer's
We decided to put off buying a house. That was a huge stress factor for us, now eliminated.
We moved into an apt at first, it was an hour commute for DH though.
So now we moved to a new apt a lot closer to DH's job.
I did not want to throw our savings into a home, we were just too new. If DH's income is going to increase, we need to be flexible with the location he is working at. I also want to be in a good school system.
Right now in NC, home prices are staying still. So I have time. If I see them going up, we may reconsider. It was too many changes for us too soon. DH graduating and starting a new job. New baby. New state. We were too overwhelmed. So happy with our apt choice though. Our money is still in the bank, and the research continues.
good luck!
