update from Monday's Dr. appointment
So I went to the Dr. this afternoon and there's still not much of a change- slightly more than a fingertip dilated and about 60% effaced. They hooked me up to measure the baby's heartbeat and to see if I was having any contractions- which surprise, surprise I am not. Everything was good with the baby though, and of course, that's the most important thing. I discussed waiting a little longer to be induced and the Dr. wanted to check my amniotic fluid level before making a decision. Apparently anything from 8-18 is a normal level and I am only 8.5, so she feels it's neccesary to induce this week. In fact, she said if it had been any lower she would have sent me for induction today. 
So the deal is I will go for another growth sono on Wednesday at 1:00 and then see the Dr. They will again check to see if I've made any progress and hook me up to the monitors. Once they figure out my status I will be sent straight over to the hospital to be admitted. I will get cervidil over Wednesday night and begin Pitocin on Thursday morning.

 sorry, I was really hoping that you would show more signs. I still have faith. Its Monday evening, maybe by Wednesday night we will see some changes. I think what you are feeling about the induction is completely normal.

Sorry the news wasn't better, but just focus on meeting your little man very soon and try not to stress too much about being induced, although I know that is easier said than done!

I'm sorry you haven't made more progress, Nicole. I know that you don't want to hear this right now but anything can still happen between now and Wed/Thurs.. I will still send you {{{ labor vibes }}} to go into labor on your own 
But if is not to be, I am sure your induction will go well. I too was not thrilled at the prospect of induction at the time I was told, so I do somewhat know how you must be feeling You are in great shape and hopefully will respond to the meds well and have an easy delivery. During my delivery I needed some help after I stopped dilating after 10 hrs of labor, and was put on Pitocin - and honestly it worked wonders for me. In retrospect I'm almost sorry I wasn't on it earlier so that my labor progressed quicker!
Luca is going to be here by Thursday at the latest though, and you will officially be a Mommy! So that is def. reason to be happy & celebrate

don't give up yet - you might still go into labor! if not, its most important that you and your  are healthy! take care and hang in there - I can't wait to read the post that you had and I know it will be soon either way!

Nicole I'm so sorry you haven't progressed more, but the more I read about labor the more I learn all the dilation and effacement numbers can mean nothing. Some people go into labor with no symptoms, whereas other ladies walk around dilated and effaced for weeks!
I hope you go on your own in the next few days, but if not just think you get to meet Lua ocn Thursday no matter what!! Keep your eye on the prize, and don't worry about how you get there! Just that both you and Luca are healthy

This is all very true. My poor mother had me the day they were to induce [naturally], but she still went 2 full weeks over. She had my sister by induction...she spent 1 month at 1cm dilated [I was 9, I have no idea about effacement]...she was STILL 1 cm MOST of the day she was sitting in the hospital...yet she'd been having mild contractions fora week [she just couldn't feel them]! She was very frustrated...but it all happens for a reason and in the end, you get this beautiful baby...it's all worth the wait!

So sorry all this is taking so long... but just think by the weekend your little Luca will be in your arms!!! I know how frustrated you must feel .. I would feel the same but it's still a happy time... just not sudden.........
