What do you make of this?

I showed my house last weekend to my neighbors, they did seem serious, but you never know....

They currently rent on our block, but would like to remain on this street, and since my house is the last one on the dead end, it makes it appealing, also it is the most affordable on the block.

They called me back this Saturday morning, telling me that they spopke with a mortgage broker during the week to get prequalified, and are prepared to make a bid.

However, they were hoping they could do the deal without a realtor. I signed a 6 month contract with my realtor, so there is really nothing I can do.

So they said that they will also get a realtor to make it fair, and get back to me with an offer.

Now it's Monday and I haven't heard from them. My guess is a realtor would tell them that he will go through my realtor....but on the other hand I htink they may have been turned off that we could not do a private deal.

I was thinking of calling them and telling them that I could be more flexible with the price if we went with the same realtor, because he would charge less commission, but I don't want to be pushy. I guess I should just wait and see if anything happens.

What do you think is going on?..Think they want to forget about it?

If they told you this on Saturday, they have only had one day, a Sunday at that, to find a realtor so I wouldn't take not getting back to you yet as no longer interested.

I would anxiously wait for them to come back with an offer and continue to show your house in the mean time.

I am confused why they think that it would be "fair" for them to get their own realtor. Why do they need one? I would call them and tell them that it will be cheaper to just go thru your agent.....
