Very cool! Unfortunately, our block doesn't have one. I was told that they used to have them before we moved in.

We use to have block parties. BUT then all the Kids who we had never even seen before started coming and having a drink fest in the middle of the block. They smoked pot had 12 packs everywhere left garbage all over. It was just really sad and not fun anymore.

There is a block party a few blocks from me today. Some nieghbors we never met invited us to go, but I have been sick with the flu for 4 days and my fever just broke last night. I really wanted to go to meet new neighbors

block parties are a GREAT way to meet new people! i met a bunch of my neighbors for the first time that i normally just wave too and ive been here a year!

and jennifer, definitely try. but be forewarned, it ended up costing a LOT of money!! we also had a bunch of epople so we bought a lot of food...but it was well worth it!
