Has anyone gone to the San Gennaro feast?
I haven't been in several yrs and would like to go.

cool! let me know how it is. the last time I went, it was wall to wall people and a few fights broke out in China Town  I swore I would never go again but I would like DH to see it... if it's better now.

I haven't gone in a few years and would love to but I am not sure if DH will want to. It is too crowded.

we always go...don't have plans to go this year though 
well....unless it starts relatively early - we're going to the Mets game tonight, so if it starts in the afternoon (which I doubt), we will go before the game.

We always go too but then we get there and we're always like, "Um, why did we come again?!" It's always PACKED! It can be fun watching all the kids think they are getting wasted on those tall pina coladas and daquiris. I know a lot of the booths tell them they are putting liquor in the drinks but they really don't.

ok, i just looked- they open at 11:30am, so maybe Rich and I will take the train in, then just take the 7 train to Shea later on

I went one year with some people and their friend who were visiting from London and the British friends got lost and we never saw them again..two years later I am on the tube in London and who do I stand next to...but the British friend who we lost.
I tapped her on the shoulder and said...So thats where you got off to...oh and how we laughed.
You had to be there...

i went today w/2 friends during lunch....
i got some pasta w/capers, it was good :)
then we got fried oreo's, wound up on the wrong train-and wound up on atlantic ave in bklyn, raced back to office to Realize:
THE OREO's WERE NOT CHOCOLATE  They were some kind of vanilla cookie

Just got home from the feast! t was ok...not too crowded!
We had roasted corn, fresh lemonade, sausage, pepper & onions sandwiches and of course ZEPPOLES!!!
