 | When did you stop working? I'm just curious as to when all of you stopped working in your pregnancy, or when you plan on stopping? I am 36 weeks right now, will be 37 weeks on Sunday. My due date is October 9th, and my leave starts at work on October 3rd, which is when I'll be 39/40 weeks. I'm so exhausted now, I don't know how I'll make it that far.
I'm a teacher so I just went back to work 2 weeks ago and it's just so exhausting working with 1st graders, who are very demanding this year (I teach special ed) and also waking up so early and driving all the way into the city each day.

My doctor said it's fine to work until the end as long as I feel okay, and I know I can make it through the exhaustion, I just wish I didn't have to work so long. I only get 20 days leave time so I don't want to take the time before the baby is born.

 | Re: When did you stop working? Wow...I really give all you ladies so much credit for working up until the very end...I'm going on my 33rd week and I'm really starting to feel as if I can't take it. And, I only work part time...
My last day will be Oct. 6 which will put me at almost 36 weeks.

I also wanted to be able to spend every day at home with my new baby.

 | Re: When did you stop working? Well I had planned to work until 39 weeks but it became unbearable at 34 weeks. I'm a pharmacist and being on my feet all day was horrible and I kept getting sick. My blood pressure was climbing so my midwife ended up taking me out of work at 34 weeks. It has been great not working! |

 | Re: When did you stop working? I worked to the very end too...I went in when I knew I was in the early stages of labor I aslo did it to the very end so I would be able to stay home longer with my lil one I also had a very good pregnancy I think it depends on each person and each pregnancy |

 | Re: When did you stop working? I worked till 1 week PAST my due date, and she was born on a Sunday. I had an easy pregnanacy and my job was not stressful and my commute was short. I just wanted to have as much time at home with her as possible! |

 | Re: When did you stop working? I stopped about 3 weeks before my due date. I had a few episodes of false labor with pretty intense contractions and I was afraid that it would happen while I was driving and I'd hurt the baby and myself. |
