Recommend Your Floor Guy
Can anyone recommend someone to refinish hardwood floors? Also a price if you have used them. I'm looking for someone to sand and 2 coats.

Nick from Sunrise Wood Flooring - 631-225-6063. He is great - good prices, fast, reliable, and CLEAN. There was hardly any dust in my house when he left. I recommended him to a friend who just used him as well and she was extremely happy with him.
My floors cost $6700. This included the installation of new oak flooring in my family room (15' x 22') and the refinishing of about 1500 more square feet of existing flooring, staining all floors, two coats of polyurithane....

We used Aliperti & Sons in Huntington and could not be happier with the outcome. Price was $2000 with one room stained (stain was a $1 more per sq ft) - the other 3 and a hallway were left natural as were the stairs (which cost a small fortune since they're done by hand) - and 3 coats of poly in a semi-gloss finish (I really do not like the hi-gloss finish).
ETA: They were prompt, super quick and so clean - barely any dust in the house. We also had just painted one of the rooms and there was no damage to the moulding or wall from the machine.

Yes, my uncle owns a hardwood floor business. He is based in St. James but sends workers all over LI.
