Fairfield Properties ?

anyone live in one of their apartment complexes?

a friend is looking for a 1-br and i'm wondering if anyone has any feedback on them?

The only familiarity I have w/Fairfield is there 55 and over facilities (town houses/condos). If you want feedback on them from that end, let me know.

We never did. But we know about 5 different people who lived/live in the ones in Bohemia. They are nice apts and all the friends were happy living there. They all went from the apts to their own homes.

My mom lives in the ones in Sayville she loves them. Her apt complex is small, maybe 35 untis. All one bedrooms and there are no kids, just older people.

we used to live in the co-ops off of union blvd in islip. fairfield owned them. i'm pretty sure there are a bunch of units still for sale there.

Fairfield's management is horrible and unethical. The apartments themselves are nice, but not worth the headache IMO. If you do a search on my name, I had a huge problem while I was 8 mos pregnant with them terminating my lease which was completely unjust. Since they own just about every complex on LI, it's hard to avoid them. www.apartmentratings.com is a good resource for rental ratings.

Oddly enough, a woman came into my office one day who had my mail who actually lives in my old townhouse and is a client of ours! She saw my name on the letter head and figured there wouldn't be more than one person with my name on LI

Seriously, we had no heat like at least once a week and it took them days to fix it. We were supposed to move to a different apartment in the complex and they leased it behind our back and told us by taping a note to our outside door while we were on vacation.

Also, it took over a year, multiple phone calls and threats to report them to some sort of housing agency to get our securoty deposit back.

DH's family lived in a Fairfield apt when they first moved to the US from Poland. It was in North Babylon and they really liked it. We live in a condo that is managed by Fairfield and since DH is the president of the condo board I have heard some complaints about the property management.

I lived in the Country Club Gardens in East Islip. It became Fairfield after we had been living there for 4 years and the change was for the better. They put in new plants, new siding, new windows. We lost power one night during the summer and they sent people over to make sure we were okay. The super knew we had little ones and offered to let us stay in a unit that didn't lose power so that we could have AC. When we left we got our full security deposit back within 3 months as promised.

After living in one of their apartments, my best advice is to NOT rent from them!

My BIL & SIL lived in one of their rental properties in Suffolk, and while the place was nice, the management was a NIGHTMARE. THey had numerous problems with them, as others have mentioned too.

I've heard terrible things about their management as well. Probably best to stay away.

I'm the girl who you spoke to on the phone - going through the same thing! Management is unethical. Not one return phone call. I got my notice to quit - same reasons as they gave you - what a joke. I'm not moving out, so this will certainly go to trial. I'll keep you posted.

WE called management like 4 times after they redid our kitchen. Finally someone came to fix the problem but we never recieved a call back from management until 9 MONTHS LATER! Then they asked if we would be renuing our lease. WE told them no. I HATE it here so much!



So do I. Of course I haven't received one call back since the end of January about my situation. According to my notice to quit I'm supposed to be out April 28. I'll let you all know in May exactly when my court date is because I don't plan on going anywhere! I refuse to be pushed out just because someone on staff doesn't like my children. When my lease is up I'm am so out of here, but it won't be because they are evicting me, but because I'm fed up with the nonsense in this place.
