My mom did cabbage plants in pink and blue pots. I had a major case of pregnancy brain that day, it took me a whole day to figure out it was based on the being born in a cabbage patch story people used to believe.
I've seen stuffed animals, rubber duckys, etc. I've also seen small diaper cakes (like 2 layers) that the new mommy then gets to take home to help stock up on diapers.

I love the idea od old fashioned toys like red small wagons that you can fill with either boys or girls inexpenisve toys like those wooden blocks.

I went to one that had baby powder scented candles in a semi-circle wrapped in tulle with pacifiers on the end.

Well my baby shower was in May, so my mom went to Dee's Nursery and got pink and blue potted flowers for the tables, and got cute little teddy bears that had BABY written on their sweaters, next to the flowers with balloons tied to them too. Adorable!!
