I really dislike when people start comparing past presidents. No president was great but this is falling on us (as well as the multitude of other issues) during the Biden administration. He and his democrats are in charge so it falls on them, end of story. I don't care what happened 4 years ago or 20 years ago. This is now and he needs to manage the situation.
In all honesty I would have voted for Biden when Trump won if he ran. He is too old now and has lost his spark and control he had years ago. Biden was the wrong choice but since half the country was so hell bent on getting Trump out of office that we allowed someone not fit for the job take the reigns. People need to wake up and we need to start getting candidates that can do the job at hand and stop voting for people, just because they are not someone else.
But do you think trump was fit?
Personally, I don’t think any were fit but we were witnessing Trump in action. Pretty much inciting a civil war. We were forced to pick the lesser of the two evils and I still stand by Biden was the lesser. I also don’t think we should be comparing presidents right now. I’m honestly confused as to why people are saying Trump is the answer. I think anyone who is a die hard Biden or Trump supporter are ridiculous and need to stfu. Honestly. The people of Ukraine don’t care about our ****** ass presidents right now and this debate. They are fearing for their lives.

This is why it was quiet.. there was nothing really discussed on this thread that was healthy or informative to the crisis that is happening. Just a pissing match of who’s right and which crappy president would be better in office.
News flash folks, none of them. Stop gloating if you voted for Trump and stop gloating if you voted for Biden. They both suck.

It's really horrific what is happening over there, so many innocent people stuck in the crossfire. I hope a resolution can be found before things get even worse. Scary times.

After Trump was in office for a while, no I don't think he was fit either. He did not have the diplomacy that was needed to be President nor the attitude. As I said, I would have voted for Biden the first time around instead of Trump the first time around and I am a full die hard republican. I do not think Trump is a republican and he brought out an extreme side that has been dormant for a while. There has been no good candidates the past few elections. I don't know if there even are any good candidates but that also goes to show the inadequacies of our congress as well. It should be a check and balance not a vote down party lines.

I agree. I will say after Trump won, I was like ehh its not so bad but then I felt like he was slowly becoming unhinged as his presidency went on.
I voted for Hillary the first time around. I do wonder what would have happened if she won. Not saying she would have been amazing but would it have been more stable. Maybe we would've had a stronger Republican candidate during re-election? Who knows, I am sure we would still be in the same mess.

I don’t trust much of how the narrative is being spun , I feel sorry for innocent people inUkraine being hurt but I don’t want the US to get involved. Our involvement in foreign countries is horrific and a disaster .

Hopefully the SWIFT ban goes through and works (I am a bit behind today— I think it went through?). I’m not crazy about it because of the energy crisis here and Nord Stream 2, but it’s the right thing to shut this down quickly.
And it isn’t *the* Ukraine. It’s just Ukraine. They aren’t a member of the USSR anymore.
