I call out Hofstra and a variety of other woman who think they are anonymous here and can say things and get away with it. And i have no problem doing so.

Who in the h-e-l-l thinks they are completely anonymous on these boards? It's kinda funny that you think you're exposing some kind of truths on here for all to see.
Most of us have been around for over 10 years back when this site was actually good and and where we even had our REAL names listed under our screenname. We've gone through infertility together sharing resources, recs and even meds. We've been pregnant together sometimes ending up at the same OB, prenatal class or even in the same hospital together giving birth. After our children were born we met up for playdates where our babies spent time together and where we became friends.
We shared hardships, happy times, relationship advice, and more. We've shared information about our school districts (thereby "giving away" where we live) and where we shop and what doctors we see. We have become friends on FB and subsequently friends IRL. Ladies on here became our photographers capturing special moments of our kids and getting to know our families. Two of my favorite people and good friends I know only because of the relationship we formed back on LIF YEARS and YEARS ago. We even posted pics of our kids, shared our birth stories, talked about our homes and shared pics of it as well. The list goes on and on. We even did Xmas ornament exchanges where we <<GASP>> shared our addresses with one another!!
You cannot really believe that anyone here thinks they are completely unknown as "real people". LIF wasn't always a vast wasteland of garbage, drama, and $hit stirrers like it is now. It actually use to be a worthwhile place to make friends and get good information despite the occasional drama thread which of course happened from time to time. But trust me, nobody on LIF actually thinks they are "anonymous". How silly of you to think that they did.
This post actually made me yawn.
You for one are attracted to the drama you are referring too. Like a fly to sh!t. You constantly go on and on. And don’t say windy this and windy that. Because if any of you b!tches hate the drama so much then why do you contribute to it with your bullish!t back and forth. You go on and on cause someone over the internet hurt your feelings. Get a l!fe!!! Take care of your son and daughter and get over it Kristen ( since we are using first names now). You claim to have this perfect life but it apparently is flawed if you have the time to be here on the constant like it’s your job.

When were the golden years? Cause I’ve been here since 2011 and there was plenty of drama already not just occasionally.

I’m just curious thou, have you seen the proof or were you FB friends with Hofstra while this was going on? I’m just not sure why you would believe one internet stranger over another. I believe we learned that in kindergarten! The more you engage, the more she will. But you all can’t help yourselves.
I think it’s because mommy2devin doesn’t like windy so it’s easier to believe a stranger that she’s LIF friends with than a stranger that u don’t like. Plus I’m sure there’s a lot of “talking” in FMs among people that dislike windy.

And I’m not taking Hofstras word in anything. I’ve seen the proof. I’ve read the proof. Windy is crazy. Was in 2017, is still today. But even crazy folks need people on their side defending them so good on you. But she has attacked me virtually, shamed me, tried to dig up supposed dirt on me. And for no other reason than I disagreed with her. OR sided with someone she didn’t like and had already cyber stalked. Then like poor poor Charlie Brown everybody was picking on her….. and you guys promote that victim mentality in her. And there are vendettas against Hofstra that I just don’t get. Like the post about favorite room in the house. Hof made fatal error of calling what I’m sure the rest of us call an office a library. And my god were the wolves released on her. However, in same post one of the same posters spoke about their several vacation homes and that wasn’t considered bragging. But ya, you guys keep claiming windy is the victim here.
Did you ask her for a picture so you can determine if it is a library or office? You just assume everyone else is lying.
I hope it’s a library.. ever since that post I envisioned a room like the one in Beauty And The Beast. Y’all b!tches better not ruin that for me.
Mommy2Devin, if you think for one moment she accidentally called it a library then I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you. She created the post so that she could let everyone here know she has a library because she thinks that people here actually give two sh*ts about the kind of house any one of us lives in. I brought up my vacation properties as a joke and also because Hofstra's first comeback is to accuse people of being jealous of her and her amazing lifestyle.
No, she created the post to distract from one of the posts where windy had derailed the original topic to try to incite drama about the vaccine or covid being a regular cold virus or some other garbage she spews just to get this very thing going where Mrs woods is calling us all ******* but is also above all of us petty folk on this site. That’s why that post Hofstra created was started. And the countless other posts by Golden and KK about what’s for dinner. To stop the repetitive shit stirring by innocent old windy.

Most of us have been around for over 10 years back when this site was actually good and and where we even had our REAL names listed under our screenname. We've gone through infertility together sharing resources, recs and even meds. We've been pregnant together sometimes ending up at the same OB, prenatal class or even in the same hospital together giving birth. After our children were born we met up for playdates where our babies spent time together and where we became friends.
We shared hardships, happy times, relationship advice, and more. We've shared information about our school districts (thereby "giving away" where we live) and where we shop and what doctors we see. We have become friends on FB and subsequently friends IRL. Ladies on here became our photographers capturing special moments of our kids and getting to know our families. Two of my favorite people and good friends I know only because of the relationship we formed back on LIF YEARS and YEARS ago. We even posted pics of our kids, shared our birth stories, talked about our homes and shared pics of it as well. The list goes on and on. We even did Xmas ornament exchanges where we <<GASP>> shared our addresses with one another!!
You cannot really believe that anyone here thinks they are completely unknown as "real people". LIF wasn't always a vast wasteland of garbage, drama, and $hit stirrers like it is now. It actually use to be a worthwhile place to make friends and get good information despite the occasional drama thread which of course happened from time to time. But trust me, nobody on LIF actually thinks they are "anonymous". How silly of you to think that they did.

You for one are attracted to the drama you are referring too. Like a fly to sh!t. You constantly go on and on. And don’t say windy this and windy that. Because if any of you b!tches hate the drama so much then why do you contribute to it with your bullish!t back and forth. You go on and on cause someone over the internet hurt your feelings. I really think people need to understand the definition of stalking. No one on this site has been threatened or put in immediate danger because of windy. Whatever she posted has been put out on the internet by the person themselves. She is not showing up at your work, or your house or sending you threatening messages. To be honest, the only threatening posts have been directed towards windy multiple times by telling her to die and a host of other inappropriate posts. If you do not like what she says, stop responding. Even when she was wasn't on the boards for a short while, she was still talked about. This is a message board. People need to get a grip or just step away from the computer.

You can't expect anything different on this site unfortunealty.
One thing I can highly recommend from both an environmental and huge money saving standpoint is a pellet stove.
We got one about 15 years ago. I didn't want it, DH did.
I can't tell how I've eaten my words. We get a total of 2 oil deliveries a year We only use oil to make hot water. We heat our entire house all winter long without ever using oil. And it's much warmer than it would be if we were running the burner and keeping it at a lower temp to save money and oil.
Sometimes it gets too hot and I'm stripping down to shorts and turning it off.
The pellets are made from compressed sawdust that is recycled from building projects and burn very clean.
There is no smell with like a wood burning stove.
With the way the price of oil is going I'm so glad we have this.
We have a small house so it heats the whole house.
But having said that, like others said, all of this is just a drop in the bucket compared to the big picture and yeah, we probably are doomed no matter what.

Again, you are reading what you want to read. I don't really care that Hofstra is using her name, it doesn't affect me. I'm up in arms about the hypocrite that your friend is. Two wrongs don't make a right. As a kindergarten teacher (and a 40 something year old woman) she should know that.
