Gastro doctor for Crohn's Disease?
Anyone have any recs on Long Island? I have seen a wonderful specialist in the city for years. It's very inconvenient and am hoping to find an amazing doctor closer to home. I am currently in a severe flare and am desperate to get in a new regiment. Any recommendations?

Gastro doctor for Crohn's Disease?
I have Crohn’s and I see Dr. Singh at All County Gastroenterology in Rockville Centre. He’s very compassionate and always listens to my concerns. Always gets right back to me when I have a question. Sorry you’re in a flare. I know how awful it is. Feel better soon!

I saw Dr. Bethany Devito in Great Neck when I was on the Island. She was associated with North Shore LIJ. I would love to know who you saw in the city if you don’t mind sharing. I haven’t found one I really am happy with yet.

I have ulcerative colitis and he’s done my surgery and I see him very 3 months
He has the best bedside manner
He’s caring

Can I ask what some of your Crohn's symptoms are? I'm trying to figure out what I'm experiencing. How is Crohn's or ibs diagnosed? Is there testing?

It changes. When I was first diagnosed and for years, the only symptoms I would have were some pain and fever. Turned out they were abcesses. Unfortunately now many years later, I have (TMI) typical (awful) bathroom issues, terrible gas pain and bloating, extreme fatigue and it all causes anxiety! You can however have symptoms anywhere in your digestive tract starting in your mouth (sores), acid reflux, joint pain and even issues with your eyes which I had years ago. It sucks I was diagnosed through colonoscopy. They do all sorts of testing (blood tests, endoscopy, barium test/small bowel series, etc.) Good luck!
