Apparently my unpopular opinion is that I like baby showers lol.
I think if someone wants to have a party, good for them. If someone doesn't want to attend for whatever reason (they think it will be boring, too far, not at a good time, they didn't go to your party), that's fine too. Who cares? People are way too concerned about what other people think and do. I really don't have the energy to care.

LIF - i'm pretty sure I am always in the 5% who have an unpopular opinion. LOL
-Cursing in front of my children
-Christmas or kid photo shoots, I only did Christmas cards once when he was 2 and it was my own picture. Even for my sons school pictures I buy the $20 package and forget to give them out. I morbidly get them to have a recent photo of my son that has his age and info.
-I don't have Weekday or Sunday parties. Yearly bday parties for kids. Big parties for kids - Graduation, Holy sacraments. Engagement parties, gender reveal parties, pregnancy shoots.
-I don't believe kids need to have play dates to be socially prepared for the world.
-I believe in - ADD/ADHD Medication, anti-biotics, Flu shot
-Don't believe in holding a kid back for an advantage, it is nuts here in NJ.
-I love Football lol.
-I have a strong dislike for Beyonce.

Farmhouse sinks and shiplap are indicative of a lack of design creativity and look weird in houses that are not 100+ years old and on a farm.

Lol, me too! I actually love showers! I am always invited without DD so it's an afternoon of a nice meal and drinking with adults. I haven't been to a shower where the bride/mama to be opens the gifts in a long time so there's none of that hideousness.

LOL!!! All of my opinions are unpopular on here, but IRL...family, friends, work, people I run into out an about on the street, my opinions seem to be the norm.

Unpopular opinions you have
- I don't like Nutella or Chick-fil-a.
- I don't think jeans are appropriate attire for many things no matter how "nice" or "dressy" your top is
- If you use/text/play on your cell phone at church, during a wedding, at the movies, a wake, a meeting, etc I think you're a monster
- Overnight/out-of-town bachelorette parties when there's already been an engagement party, shower, and soon a wedding. Please stop taking my $$ already

life is too short. i am a very negative person by nature, i work really hard to find the positive. i need to put this on my desk!
LOL whenever I hear someone say "Life is too short" I think about the time, years ago, that I worked with a guy who was just very negative. Life sucked, it was terrible, nothing you could say would make him see differently.
So one day I said in conversation, "life is short" for whatever reason, and he replies. "no, actually if you think about it, it's not. Life is long, it's very long"

I hate shiplap as a decoration. But I have had a farmhouse sink forever and I love it. Although I do live in an 80 year old house so I think that it's fine that I have a farmhouse sink. But I would put it in a new house too. I just hate traditional sinks.

OMG!!...............SO MUCH YES!!!!!!! Goddamn overdeveloped, overcrowded, overpriced land of strip malls and flatness. SO over it!!............we've been trying to move off the island for the last year and a half!!! Grrrrrrrr
I hate showers too but I hate them more when they ask you to wrap things in cellophane. God forbid you should take the time to unwrap and enjoy the gift I spent a fortune on. 
I detest people who don't RSVP. There is literally NO excuse to ignore an invite. Even worse, people who won't RSVP until the last second because they don't want to commit in case something better comes along.
Not everyone is smart or destined for great things. I am sorry but it's true. The world is filled with a lot of brilliant people, a lot of average people and a crap ton of dumb asses. Such is life.
Summer is WAY overrated. In fact, I flat out hate the whole season. It's hot, sticky and humid AF most of the time. Nothing outside is enjoyable when it's 98 degrees and you have swamp ass. LOL Give me cold and snow ANY DAY.
Seafood is gross. 
I am not my child's entertainment. It's NOT my job to keep them occupied, happy and smiling every damn day. The world doesn't revolve around them and as such, they need to learn independence and how to entertain themselves. To that end, they also don't need to be in 500 activities every day of the week either. Pick one or two things and be passionate about it, no kid NEEDS to be in 40 different sports teams and a part of EVERY club and after school activity. It's okay for kids to just have nothing on the calendar. It's also okay for them to be bored sometimes, they'll survive. lol

Actually, it's too small an island and that's the problem. LOL You're right, everyone doesn't hate it but I think you'd be hard pressed to find anyone on LI that doesn't agree that we're overpopulated, overdeveloped and that the traffic is absolute insanity, no matter where you are on the island.
